My client is a successful and expanding developer house builder, celebrating a decade of delivering high-quality homes on developments ranging from 100 to 400 units. With ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in the company’s continued success.
The Opportunity:
Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience in house building? If so, we want to talk to you! This role offers excellent career potential, with a clear path for growth as the company expands. Based near Wakefield, you’ll be central to the commercial success of multiple high-spec projects, building your career as you help drive the company forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of the financial and contractual management of projects from inception to completion.
* Work closely with site teams to optimise costs and ensure efficient procurement.
* Produce accurate cost reports, forecasts, and manage budgets effectively.
* Oversee valuations, measurements, and variations to ensure project profitability.
* Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
What You’ll Bring:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a background in house building.
* Strong commercial acumen and thorough understanding of construction contracts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and team collaboration skills.
* Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a passion for quality.
* Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is a plus.
Remuneration Package:
* Competitive salary up to £55,000
