Job Description

Firmin Recruit is excited to be working with our long-established manufacturing client based in the London, SE5 area. Due to business growth, our client is now recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Setter Operator to join their friendly hard-working team.
The role is working in the production/ machining of metal parts for a variety of manufacturing clients throughout the UK and Europe.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC and other similar machinery to manufacture components for our internal assembly flow lines, ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery.
Duties:
* Operating CNC lathes to produce small to medium size batches of work efficiently
* Inspecting work against engineering drawings using various measuring equipment and reporting any quality defects
* Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on machines, adhering to my client’s requirements and promptly reporting any issues
* Optimising efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times
Suitable Candidate:
* Previous experience of setting and operating CNC machine is necessary
* Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings and able to inspect work using a range of measurement equipment
* Preference will be given to candidate who have previous experience in CNC Milling or CNC Turning machine setter
Hours: 8 am - 4.30 pm Monday - Friday with 2 x 15 minutes paid break and half hour unpaid.
