Associate Network Sector Coverage – NSC Italy Job Title: Associate Network Sector Coverage, Italy Reports to: Head of NSC Italy – Hierarchically and Functionally Your role & work environment You will be part of the Network Sector Coverage (“NSC”) team of ING WB in Italy, in charge of supporting the origination, development and maintenance of relationships with a portfolio of corporate clients with focus on subsidiaries of international clients operating in Italy. The position is part of the newly established NSC Italy, covering among others clients in the following sectors: Food, Agri & Beverage, Transportation, Logistics, Automotive, Manufacturing & Heavy Industries, Services, Construction, Retail. NSC is part of the wider Sector Coverage team within ING WB Italy, a team of approx. 40 professionals based in Milano. Your key responsibilities Commercial attitude You’re willing to invest in a long-term relationship with our clients and prospects in order for ING to become their primary bank You’re result driven and look for healthy growth of your portfolio revenues, in Italy and abroad You spot business opportunities in your conversations with your clients and organise pitches to generate business and reinforce ING’s position in the market Stakeholder management You have effective networking and relationship building skills allowing to quickly earn the confidence of mandate holders, senior management and clients, to ensure smooth transactions and processes You will assist the creation and maintenance of virtual client teams, contributing to activities with product specialists and / or with local relationship managers abroad. You take ownership and make it happen You have 1st line of defence responsibilities: You ensure relevant client reporting, holding credit, operational and compliance risks at the highest standards by supporting the completion of KYC processes Objectives You monitor your client profitability and the realization of your portfolio KPIs & team objectives You avoid underperforming assets in your portfolio by locking in cross-sell opportunities and making careful considerations when being presented a lending opportunity You participate to the wider sector initiatives and improvement projects, and actively contribute to making the Sector Coverage Italy a better and more efficient organisation with focus on Network Sector Coverage portfolio. As an Associate Network Sector Coverage you will also need: Academic degree / MBA in finance, economics, law or equivalent Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial or client service role Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in Italian and English You have a good product knowledge and an interest in learning across lending, leasing, working capital solutions, payments & cash management, custody services, trade financial services, BMG, Corporate finance, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, financial markets.
