Key Responsibilities
The Senior Associate role in the Employment team will include:
Disputes and Investigations
- Tribunal litigation (e.g., unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination)
- High Court litigation (e.g., team moves, bonus claims)
- Workplace investigations
- Collaborating with the dispute resolution team on investigations
- Handling strike ballots and union activities
Contentious Advice
- Senior exits and settlement agreements
- Restrictive covenant breaches, team moves
- Other contentious advice (e.g., grievances, disciplinaries)
Other Advisory
- Change projects (e.g., redundancy and TUPE processes, UK and international)
- Contracts, bonus schemes, and handbooks
- Business immigration
- Ad hoc advice (e.g., gender pay gap reporting, holiday pay, furlough)
Training and Horizon Scanning
- Cross-departmental and/or transactional support:
- Corporate: deals, investee company executive exits, IPOs
- Commercial: outsourcing, GDPR
- Real Estate: TUPE issues
Person Specification - Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Outstanding academic record
- UK Qualified Solicitor
- Competent in advising on all aspects of Employment law
- Experience in both advisory and strategic capacities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and proficient in handling responsibilities
- A team player thriving in a collegiate environment
- Commitment and engagement with the firm's culture
- 3 - 6 years PQE
