The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and handle a broad array of legal responsibilities. You will work autonomously on drafting and negotiating commercial and corporate agreements, structuring transactions, and providing real-time legal advice on business matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate and Regulatory Support: Provide guidance on corporate and regulatory matters relevant to marine energy commodities such as LNG and alternative fuels.
  • Group Structuring and Compliance: Advise on group structuring, licensing, and corporate governance, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Business Expansion: Offer legal support on new business ventures, evaluating risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft and review commercial agreements, including NDAs, sale and purchase agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Corporate Transactions: Oversee legal documentation for transactions, including JVs, M&As, and shareholder agreements.
  • External Counsel Management: Coordinate with external legal counsel on specialized matters.
  • Team Development: Mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements

  • Essential: Qualified solicitor (England and Wales) with 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong expertise in corporate and commercial contracts within the energy sector, excellent communication skills, and relationship-building ability.
  • Desirable: International legal experience, foreign language proficiency, and prior in-house experience.
