Senior Legal Counsel

Location: London


brightsmith are working with a scaling start up in the clean tech space who are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team as we prepare for our Series B funding round. This is a crucial role that will directly support our legal needs as we navigate exciting growth opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts.
  • Provide legal guidance on fundraising initiatives and deal structuring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Business Operations, and Engineering.
  • Engage with external legal firms as necessary, while maintaining oversight on all legal matters in-house.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, preferably within a commercial environment.
  • Strong background in commercial contracts and fundraising.
  • Experience with intellectual property (IP) is a plus, particularly in structuring and protecting patents.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
