Part Time Accountant

I am delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established and growing organisation in their search for an experienced Accountant to join their Head Office finance team.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this is an all-round role, focusing on month end reporting, year end audit and project work. Key responsibilities include:

* Assisting with the monthly management accounts production

* Assisting with the production of the year end statutory accounts

* Balance sheet control account reconciliations

* VAT returns

* Accruals and prepayments

* Bank reconciliations

* Compliance and governance

* Providing a detailed & clear narrative with monthly reporting to aid operational decision making

* Managing the relationships with external bodies, including the auditors at year end

* Budgeting & forecasting - holding regular meetings with the divisional finance managers, taking a proactive approach

I am looking for:

* An experienced AAT qualified experienced accountant, or equivalent

* Strong IT skills, particularly advanced Excel

* An excellent communicator, with previous experience of developing strong relationships with none finance staff

* Previous third sector experience (Charities or Education) would be advantageous, but not essential
