Innovatise - Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual Testing

Job Description : Purpose : As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will be essential to define all aspects of quality assurance and testing processes within our organization. Leveraging your extensive experience and expertise in software quality, you will help define and implement strategic initiatives to enhance product quality, improve testing efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. You will be part of one of our software engineering teams where you will be writing and executing the test scripts (manual) for the new releases that the team is responsible for. You will help ensure the quality and understanding of often complex business requirements. Additionally, you will be part of our cross-team QA Clan that continuously assesses the current state of the system and is driving the strategy for QA going forward. Including both how to test already existing functionality, and how to ensure proper QA on future development (incl. the tools and practices used for testing). Responsibilities : - Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and define test objectives, scope, and timelines. - Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and security. - Execute manual tests to verify software functionality, detect defects, and ensure adherence to quality standards, including APIs. - Analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to testing processes, methodologies, and tools. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between testing activities and project goals, priorities, and timelines. - Support our stakeholders with any issues they might encounter. - Create and maintain the product documentation. Qualifications : Experience : - At least 3 years of experience of working in Test / QA or similar role ideally testing / supporting software applications. - Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. - Preferably experience with test-driven development with unit testing and UI testing using tools such as Cypress. - Preferably experience in Scrum or similar agile working methodology. - Excellent English communication skills both written and verbally through all levels of organizations both internally and externally. - Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Experience with BDD and tools like Cucumber and Gherkin is a plus. - Experience with software development of web applications is a plus. - Experience with Test automation on different levels, like unit and integration testing is a plus. - A relevant certification (eg ISTQB) is a plus. Skills : - Knowledge or experience of the Health and Fitness industry is a plus. - Experience supporting complex ERP systems. - Hardware peripherals and network troubleshooting. - Git (Bitbucket/GitHub). - IntelliJ or similar. - Slack, Jira, Confluence or similar tools.
