Job Description

As an Enterprise Architect/CTO, you will oversee the architecture working directly with stakeholders to understand the business strategy and to define the capabilities required to meet the long-term needs.

You are the primary point of engagement for GO divisions' relationship with AXA Group functions (Group Technology Office, Group Technology Operations, Group Security) and with relevant third parties such as technology and research partners.

Your role will encompass several significant functions including, but not limited to: Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Technical Architecture, Security Architecture, and Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define, document, align and promote domain architecture and products.
  • Select and manage technology life cycles of architectural components and products.
  • Review designs and implementations and take part in shaping strategic paths of our software platform.
  • Ensure that stability, performance, security, and platform reusability aspects are always considered.
  • Evaluate the impact of different software solutions on the overall system design.
  • Identify dependencies and drive requirement clarifications to ensure a consistent end-to-end solution.
  • Define and communicate design rules for the overall product portfolio.
  • Contribute hands-on to software development activities (e.g., foundational research, Proof-Of-Concept implementation, system configuration contribution/review).
  • Advocate, facilitate and communicate publicly on Computable Contracts and corresponding concepts.
Experience
  • Strong experience in IT Strategy, enterprise and solution architecture.
  • Experience on solutions architecture designs for very large projects/environments with good understanding of the Insurance Value chain.
  • Financials (principles, business cases, budgeting, business-planning, savings).
  • Business knowledge of the insurance or other fast-changing industry and ability to conduct research.
  • IT knowledge and understanding of related transformation disciplines (e.g. strategic planning, portfolio management, change management etc).
  • Knowledge of related architecture or operational disciplines (e.g. data architecture, product or process design).
Technical Skills
  • Expert knowledge in Enterprise Architecture and IT strategy definition.
  • Ability to execute evolution of the Enterprise Architecture through strategic thinking, in addition to possessing strong business, technical, and financial acumen.
  • Expertise in areas like Business (Lines of Business) or Technical (related to technologies such as API or Cloud).
  • Good understanding of emerging model or platform design needed to fit the new or emerging business models, operating models, and modern technologies such as platform business, API business, cloud architecture, master data management, distributed ledgers, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
  • Vision – Demonstrates architectural vision and beliefs and can express them clearly, champion them, and debate his point of view in online forums or in-person workshops.
  • Communication skills – Exhibits strong skills in listening, spoken and written communication, collaboration, and the ability to work in a global team.
  • Openness and reaching out – Strong human relationship skills, exhibit curiosity and can see opportunities in situations, not just problems.
  • International profile – Fluent in English.
  • Influence – Strong skills in influence, consultation, and negotiating ability.
  • Analytical, logical and interpretive ability – Ability to interpret scenarios, express concepts or models and maintain consistency.
