Head of Global People Development (M/W/D)

Home based in Europe

Kelvion continues to grow globally! Its growth strategy includes new markets such as Data Centres and green technologies. Realising this growth is built on people, hiring talent but critically in training and developing that talent as the business grows and industry demands change.

Reporting to our EVP HR, as part of the Global HR strategic leadership team, the Head of Global People Development role is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing strategies to support the professional growth, development, and engagement of employees across the organization globally. This role will focus on identifying talent development needs, designing training programs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development aligned with the company’s business goals.

We are seeking a globally experienced, proactive, and dynamic training and development leader to collaborate with the international HR team in shaping our people development strategy. With drive, ambition, experience, and leadership credentials to manage this key enabler of business growth.

Key areas of focus and responsibility:

  1. Learning & Development
    Develop and implement a comprehensive people development strategy that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives.
    Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for skill enhancement.
  2. Training
    Design, implement, and manage leadership development programs, technical training, and soft skills workshops.
    Develop e-learning and blended learning solutions as required.
  3. Talent Development & Succession Planning
    Work closely with management to identify key talent and create tailored development plans.
    Manage career development initiatives, including coaching and mentoring.
  4. Employee Engagement & Retention
    Implement strategies to foster employee engagement, improve retention rates, and create a positive work environment.
    Conduct regular employee surveys and feedback mechanisms to gauge development needs and program effectiveness.
  5. Diversity & Inclusion
    Support and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization’s development programs.
    Ensure that training and development programs are inclusive and accessible to all employees.

Some of the skills that we would love to see on the application are:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  2. 5+ years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational development roles in a mid-sized international organization.
  3. Proven experience in designing and delivering successful development programs.
  4. Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  6. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other HR technologies.
  8. Worked and managed internationally to include EMEA, Americas, and APAC.
  9. Strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes and improving overall employee performance.

Due to the nature of the role, a home-based location within Europe is required with the legal right to be employed in a current European legal entity (no sponsorship available) and an ability and desire to travel internationally as needed.
