Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead UX/UI Designer to shape the future of user experiences across our digital news platforms. You will drive the design strategy, craft intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces, and lead a team of designers to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for our global audience. This role requires a deep understanding of the digital news landscape, user behavior, and innovative design practices.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Design Strategy and Execution:
* Define and drive the UX/UI design strategy aligned with business goals and audience needs.
* Design intuitive, user-centered interfaces for web, mobile, and emerging platforms.
* Ensure designs enhance readability, engagement, and accessibility for diverse audiences.
2.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and mentor a team of UX/UI designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
* Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation and experimentation.
3.
User Research and Insights:
* Collaborate with product managers and researchers to gather user insights.
* Translate user needs and business objectives into design solutions.
* Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback.
4.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
* Work closely with editorial, product, and engineering teams to ensure cohesive designs.
* Present and articulate design decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
* Advocate for the user in all phases of product development.
5.
Industry Awareness and Innovation:
* Stay updated on design trends, technologies, and best practices in digital news.
* Incorporate cutting-edge solutions to enhance storytelling and user interaction.
6.
Quality Assurance:
* Maintain consistency in design systems and brand identity across platforms.
* Ensure accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) are met in all designs.
Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
*
Experience:
* 7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Proven experience designing for digital news, media, or content-rich platforms.
*
Skills:
* Expert proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).
* Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
* Experience with responsive design and mobile-first principles
