London Market Reserving/Capital Actuary

IGA Talent Solutions is delighted to be partnering with a major Actuarial consulting house at the forefront of London Market Actuarial transformations.

To support our client's 2025 growth plans, we seek two experienced Non-Life Reserving & Capital Actuaries to join the team. You will combine your technical capabilities with project leadership and client advisory skills to support prominent players across the Lloyds / London Market.

Overview:

• Engaging clients directly, presenting insights and solutions at senior levels and contributing to Reserving, Risk and Capital management strategies
• Mentor and oversee a small team of talented student & qualified actuaries, fostering growth and ensuring high-quality project delivery
• Lead Reserving project matters including GAAP, Solvency II technical provisions, independent reserve reviews, SAO work, quarterly reserving, and Reserving Process & Technology Transformation
• Contribute to new business solution pitches and supporting thought leadership campaigns, enhancing service offerings in response to evolving regulatory and market needs

What Do We Look For?

• Non-life Reserving or Capital experience within the London Market
• A material understanding of London Market insurer processes and platforms
• An understanding of challenges, problems; room for improvement that necessitates solutions
• Ability to translate technical actuarial insights into practical, commercial advice for clients
• Software programming/coding skills are always highly sought after - yet not essential
• We expect these hires to bring around typically 7-12 yrs of total career experience
• Being qualified (IFoA or equiv.) is of course desired - but not essential.
• Quality, depth, and level of responsibility of experience is equally valued
