Finatal is working with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed professional services firm with a buy-and-build strategy. Our client is a leading player in the sector, focused on expanding through strategic acquisitions and organic growth. This is a fast-paced, highly acquisitive environment, providing an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to take on a key role in overseeing financial operations and integrating newly acquired businesses.
Role Overview:
As the Finance Manager, you will be integral to both the financial operations and strategic growth of the company. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, supporting M&A activities, and managing integration efforts post-acquisition. You’ll work closely with senior management to ensure robust financial processes and deliver accurate reporting that will aid in decision-making and drive performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing valuable insights to support business objectives.
- Play a key role in M&A activity, including financial due diligence, valuation support, and integration of acquisitions.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial processes to support the company’s buy-and-build strategy.
- Provide financial insights and support for strategic projects, collaborating closely with the CFO and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with financial standards and regulatory requirements, including IFRS.
- Manage a small finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and development.
Qualifications and Experience
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or buy-and-build environment, ideally within professional services.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Hands-on approach and experience in financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in managing and developing a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
