Job Title: Senior Environmental Consultant (ESIA/ESDD)
Location: Remote/Flexible within the UK
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000
About the Role
We are excited to present a unique opportunity on behalf of our esteemed client, a prominent ESG advisory consultancy with a global presence. They are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join their expanding team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), especially those with international experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ESIA/ESDD Projects: Conduct comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and Environmental and Social Due Diligence for clients across various sectors, ensuring alignment with international standards.
- IFC Performance Standards: Provide expert guidance on the application of the IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles, ensuring that clients meet international best practices.
- Sector-Specific Expertise: Advise on environmental and social aspects for major projects in infrastructure, mining, oil & gas, and renewables, bringing sector-specific knowledge to address unique challenges and drive sustainable outcomes.
- Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to high-profile clients, offering strategic insights and tailored solutions to support sustainable growth and environmental responsibility.
- International Collaboration: Engage with teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies, contributing to high-impact projects that span global markets.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in ESIA and/or ESDD consulting, preferably within an international context.
- IFC Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles, with practical experience applying these frameworks to real-world projects.
- Sector Expertise: Previous project work within infrastructure, mining, oil & gas, or renewables sectors is essential.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in environmental impact assessment methodologies, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
