Senior JavaScript Engineer

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for someone to join our Product Team, in a hybrid role (Home and Office – as needed).

Job Overview:

As the business is entering into an exciting phase of growth, an opportunity has arisen to add a Senior JavaScript Engineer to the team, who will provide technical support on development & maintenance of various Products that are developed and supported by Product Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in agile or other development methodologies, attending regular meetings and providing status updates.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Improvise and manage CI/CD (GitHub) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with other team members and third parties to resolve complex technical problems.
• Create and update knowledge base articles for common problems and solutions.
• Participate in project planning and implementation activities.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience developing applications in Node.js (application management, security and support) within an enterprise environment.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Strong background in supporting applications using Kubernetes, Docker.
• Strong background in supporting applications built on AWS technologies.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Image deployments & troubleshooting.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience & user training experience.
• Understanding of software development practices.
• Excellent communication skills both written, orally and aurally.
• Experience with Agile development including sprints, stand-ups, etc.
