Senior Legal Counsel (4PQE) - Asset Management (Alternative Funds)

I am working with the asset management division of a global financial institution that is looking to expand its offering in, particularly within the alternative funds space.

This is a unique opportunity for a lawyer with experience structuring and establishing alternative funds who is looking for broader exposure. They are also happy to consider candidates who are already in-house or straight from private practice.

This is a great opportunity for a Legal Counsel or Associate who is looking to advance in title and responsibility.

Experience with alternative funds is essential due to the complexity of the asset classes and the range of work involved.

Responsibilities included but were not limited to:

• Advise and assist in implementing legislation, regulations, and best practices related to alternative funds and their marketing and distribution.
• Manage legal risk related to alternative businesses by group policy requirements.
• Support and fully participate in and support the strategic objectives of the wider Legal Function. This includes supporting the creation of a supportive, inclusive, and enabling working environment.

What are they looking for?.

• E&W Qualified circa 4PQE+ (happy to look at 3PQE+)
• Trained and Qualified at an International Law firm, ideally
• In-house experience is ideal (secondment experience included)
• Experience and knowledge of alternative funds or private equity, private credit, infrastructure debt, and venture capital
