Power Platform Developer - Dataverse

Position : Power Platform : 10 Years Location : Remote Notice Period : Immediate Joiners Job Description : The Senior Power Platform Developer with Dataverse expertise will be responsible for the development, customization, and integration of business applications on Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on leveraging Dataverse for data management and automation. This role will design and build complex applications and workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and ensure seamless data integration with Dataverse. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Dataverse architecture, data modeling, and Power Platform solutions to drive digital transformation across the organization. Key Responsibilities : 1. Power Platform Development : - Develop custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps), automating processes with Power Automate, and creating analytical reports with Power BI. - Build and configure Dataverse environments, including entity modeling, relationships, business rules, and data workflows. - Create advanced Power Automate flows for business process automation using Dataverse data, integrating with external systems and APIs. - Implement and maintain business logic, business process flows, and custom connectors leveraging Dataverse. 2. Dataverse Architecture & Data Management : - Lead the design and implementation of Dataverse data models, ensuring efficient data handling, security, and performance optimization. - Configure Dataverse security roles and ensure proper data access control and governance for users and teams. - Optimize Dataverse data processing by building complex queries, business rules, and integrating with Azure services where needed. - Work on data migration efforts from legacy systems into Dataverse, ensuring data integrity and validation. 3. Solution Integration & Customization : - Integrate Dataverse with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure services and third-party systems using APIs, custom connectors, and Azure 4. Functions : - Develop and deploy custom components such as Power Apps Component - Framework (PCF) controls, custom workflows, and plugins. - Customize Power Apps interfaces and user experiences to align with business needs and enhance user productivity. 5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement : - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions. - Partner with cross-functional IT and data teams to ensure solutions are aligned with overall enterprise architecture and data strategy. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and teams working on Power Platform projects. 6. Governance & Best Practices : - Ensure adherence to best practices for application lifecycle management(ALM) within Power Platform, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management. - Implement governance and security best practices for Dataverse and Power Platform, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies. - Perform code reviews and optimize existing Power Platform solutions for performance, scalability, and : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Advanced degree or certifications in relevant technologies preferred. Experience : - 5 years of experience in software development, with 2 years specifically focused on Power Platform development. - Extensive hands-on experience in Dataverse architecture, entity design, and data modeling. - Strong background in developing Model-Driven and Canvas Apps using Dataverse as the primary data source. - Proven expertise in creating Power Automate workflows, integrating - Dataverse with external data sources, and customizing Power BI reports with Dataverse. Technical Skills : - Deep understanding of Dataverse, including security models, role-based access control (RBAC), and data integrity. - Proficiency in Power Platform development tools, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. - Experience with custom code development using Power Fx, JavaScript, C#, and Azure Functions for Power Platform customization. - Expertise in integrating Dataverse with other Microsoft products (Azure, Dynamics 365) and third-party APIs using custom connectors. - Knowledge of ALM processes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for Power Platform solutions. Preferred Skills : - Microsoft Power Platform Certifications (PL-400, PL-600, PL-900). - Experience with Dynamics 365 and its integration with Dataverse. - Knowledge of Azure services (Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Synapse) and their integration with Power Platform. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
