Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Position : Network Engineer/ Admin. Experience : 6 years. Location : Mumbai. Notice Period : Immediate joiner. Must have : Manufacturing industry. Job Description : Network Design and Implementation : - Plan, configure, and deploy network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. - Design network layouts and ensure they meet organizational needs and scalability requirements. Network Management : - Monitor network performance and availability, ensuring optimal operation and minimal downtime. - Perform regular network maintenance, including hardware and software updates, to ensure network reliability and security. Troubleshooting and Support : - Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues reported by users. Security Management : - Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. - Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and respond to security incidents as needed. Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures. - Prepare and present reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements. Collaboration and Coordination : - Work closely with other IT staff to ensure network solutions integrate smoothly with other IT systems and services. - Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network equipment and services. Compliance and Best Practices : - Ensure network operations comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. - Stay updated on the latest network technologies and best practices to continually improve network performance and security.
