Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Electronic Control Unit

Role : Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer Location : Bangalore Experience: 7 - 10 Yrs Employment Type : Full Time, Permanent Working mode : Regular Notice Period : Immediate - 15 Days About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products for the automotive industry. You will play a critical role in planning, executing, and monitoring SQA activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Main Tasks SQA Planning : - Develop and execute SQA plans aligned with project timelines and objectives. - Establish performance metrics and quality standards. Stakeholder Engagement : - Collaborate with software project managers, component owners, developers, testers, process leads, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination. Review and Evaluation : - Conduct thorough reviews of software work products and deliverables, both internally developed and externally sourced. Supplier Collaboration : - Support ECU owners in joint reviews with suppliers to assess software quality and compliance. Quality Assurance : - Track deliverables, monitor software quality metrics, and identify and address gaps or defects. Risk Management : - Identify and prioritize risks in the software development process, taking appropriate mitigation measures. Defect Management : - Manage and coordinate defect correction activities, ensuring timely resolution. Deviation Management : - Raise, manage, and track deviations from quality standards or processes. Reporting : - Generate comprehensive quality reports to provide insights into software quality and progress. Secondary Tasks Process Implementation : - Support the rollout of the Polestar Embedded Software Development Process, following guidelines from the process team. Process Improvement : - Conduct process reviews and internal audits to identify areas for improvement in the embedded software development process. Candidate Requirements : Automotive Industry Experience : - Proven experience in software development projects within the automotive industry. Quality Standards : - Strong knowledge of quality standards and process models such as Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and IATF 16949. Communication Skills : - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels. (ref:hirist.tech)
