More information is available at essity.com. We’re in search of an outstanding HSE Specialist to join our team at our Plant in Porcari (Lucca). This role is a key part of our RESH department and will report directly to our highly regarded RESH Manager. The HSE Specialist will work within a team of 3 people and will be responsible for managing two facilities. This is a unique opportunity to lead improvements in safety, sustainability, and more. Your journey to make a lasting impact begins here. What You Will Do Risk Analysis: Identify and assess potential health and safety risks in the workplace. Development of Policies and Procedures: Create policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with current laws and regulations. Ensure proper communication with site functions (RLS, Doctor included) and support them in implementing guidelines and systems. Training: Provide training to employees to ensure they are informed and aware of risks and preventive measures. Lead sessions on the Company Safety Enablers (Machine Safety Risk Assessment, Isolation of Hazardous Energy, Job Safety Analysis, etc.). Surveillance: Continuously monitor workplace conditions to identify potential hazards or non-compliance situations. Ensure knowledge, development, and maintenance of management systems ISO 45001. Incident Investigation: Conduct investigations in case of workplace incidents to determine their causes and develop plans to prevent future incidents. Communication: Regularly communicate with employees and company management regarding health and safety matters, promoting a safety culture. Legal Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all laws and regulations related to health and safety in the workplace (such as D. Lgs 81/08). Performance Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, identifying areas in need of improvement and developing strategies for corrective actions. Emergency Management: Develop emergency response plans and coordinate activities in critical situations. Environmental Assessment and Compliance: Conduct environmental assessments to identify negative impacts and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Sustainable Management and Awareness: Develop sustainability strategies, manage waste, monitor air and water quality, promote environmental awareness, and be prepared to respond to emergencies. Environmental Awareness: Promotion of environmental awareness among employees and encouragement of sustainable practices. Who You Are Degree in Prevention Techniques in the Environment and Workplace, Safety and Prevention Engineering in Industrial Processes, Engineering Management, or related fields. Previous experience in a similar role (minimum of 3 years). Interest in Health and Safety issues, with a problem-solving approach, capable of analyzing all aspects related to the production site. Basic knowledge of Risk Assessment methodologies. Preferably experience in conducting internal or external audits to assess the effectiveness of RESH programs. RSPP/ASPP certification is a preferential title. Ability to influence, work in a team, and manage complex stakeholders.
