Salary: £60,000
Hours: Mon – Fri, 40 Hours P/W
Holidays: 28 days (inclusive of bank holidays)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Chief Engineer to join our dynamic team in West London, reporting directly to the General Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the hotel’s facilities and equipment, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the overall maintenance of hotel facilities and equipment.
* Control maintenance budgets and stock levels, ensuring alignment with budget guidelines.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures; assist in preparing risk assessments.
* Implement and maintain effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
* Manage onsite activities of all contractors and coordinate maintenance supplies.
* Maintain comprehensive records of machinery and equipment, including specifications and manuals.
* Ensure timely maintenance and testing of all fire safety equipment.
* Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers for maintenance work.
* Lead and inspire a high-energy team focused on guest satisfaction, setting goals, and fostering development.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
* Participate in the hotel crisis and fire teams; be fully conversant with related procedures.
* Project manage changes in policies and procedures.
* Deliver the highest levels of customer service, building strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
* Cover shift engineer duties as required.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the hotel industry.
* Strong budgeting, PNL, and payroll management skills.
* Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
