Job Description
The Production Tech is responsible for the maintenance and repair of production equipment. They will troubleshoot problems, diagnose equipment failures, and make repairs as needed. They will also work with other production staff to ensure that production is meeting quality and quantity goals. This is a technically demanding job that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Need at least 5 years combined experience with surface equipment.
Troubleshooting Operations:
As produced fluid flows from the wellhead through pipes and valves to separation and treatment equipment, there are numerous opportunities for malfunction.
A pipe might leak due to corrosion, a valve could shut off because of a failed component, or a storm might have knocked over equipment.
The lease operator identifies problems, troubleshoots, and either fixes issues personally or knows whom to call for assistance.
Recording Production Data:
The lease operator meticulously maintains records of production.
They walk each site, noting numbers from various gauges and instruments that measure the well's production.
