Overview : We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer Team Lead to spearhead our DevOps team and drive the continuous improvement of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and CI/CD processes, coupled with the leadership qualities needed to mentor and guide a team of engineers. This role will be instrumental in refining the efficiency of our infrastructure and operations, ensuring reliability, scalability, and automation across the board, while also playing a hands-on role in daily operations. Key Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. - Architect and implement infrastructure automation, scaling, and management solutions. - Oversee cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on AWS, for optimized service delivery and cost efficiency. - Manage configuration management tools (Ansible preferred, Puppet, Chef, Salt) to maintain and scale infrastructure. - Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Groovy, or Shell to streamline tasks. - Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems (e.g, DataDog, Dynatrace, Splunk) to ensure system stability and performance. - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with an emphasis on containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver operational requirements and ensure infrastructure readiness for new releases. - Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability of systems through capacity planning and architectural design. - Oversee version control, change management, and incident response processes, ensuring best practices are followed. - Participate in and coordinate rotational on-call support for critical systems. What We're Looking For : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with a focus on DevOps and automation. - Proven experience in leading or mentoring technical teams in a high-availability environment. - Proficiency with AWS cloud services, infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Packer), and configuration management (Ansible preferred). - Strong scripting skills in Python, Groovy, or Shell for automation. - Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, Dynatrace, Splunk) and performance tuning. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making. - Analytical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
