Job Description

The Java Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for Java applications, ensuring optimal performance and resolving issues that may arise. This role requires a strong understanding of Java development and support processes, along with excellent problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities : Technical Support : - Provide timely and effective support for Java applications, addressing technical issues and queries from users. - Troubleshoot and diagnose application-related problems to ensure minimal downtime. Incident Management : - Manage incidents and service requests related to Java applications, ensuring they are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. - Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues. Application Monitoring : - Monitor application performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and errors. - Conduct regular system checks to ensure applications are functioning as expected. Documentation : - Maintain accurate documentation of support processes, solutions, and best practices. - Create and update user guides and technical manuals for applications. Collaboration : - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless application performance. - Participate in project meetings to provide input on application support and improvement. Continuous Improvement : - Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest enhancements to the support framework. - Stay updated on Java technologies and trends to enhance skills and knowledge. Required Skills & Qualifications : Technical Skills : - Strong knowledge of Java and related technologies (J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, etc.). - Experience with application servers (e.g., Tomcat, WebLogic) and databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). Experience : - 4 years of experience in Java support or a similar role. Problem-Solving : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Communication Skills : - Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Team Collaboration : - Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications : Education : - B.E/B. Tech/M. Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (ref:hirist.tech)
