Data Migration Specialist - SQL

We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist with 6-10 years of experience in MySQL and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and stored procedures, along with hands-on experience in data migration within production environments. This role involves migrating data between applications while ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption. Key Responsibilities : - Migrate data from legacy applications to new platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the process. - Analyze and understand the existing application architecture and database structures to facilitate effective data mapping. - Collaborate with development teams to plan and execute data migration activities, including testing and validation. - Optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting, ensuring efficient handling of large production datasets. - Document migration processes and provide support to stakeholders during and after migrations. Who You Are : - 6-10 years of experience as a database developer, with strong proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL. - Expertise in SQL and stored procedure development. - Proven experience managing large-scale production data and conducting data migration activities. - Familiarity with Python; knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus. - Demonstrated experience working directly on production systems, with a focus on reliability and data integrity.
