Senior Software Test Engineer - Cypress

Job Description : We are looking for Senior Software Testing professionals with 5-10 years of experience in Automation testing with ability for attention to key areas and eagle eye analysis. The person/s must be efficient, task oriented and ready to take responsibilities with ability to learn and keep themselves updated with cutting edge tools and technologies. You'll be enthusiastic with a positive attitude, dedication and willingness to work hard. The position will include a lot of interaction with foreign clients. What we are looking for in you : - Experience in system level and enterprise level testing. - Knowledge of the testing process and testing life cycle. - Detailed knowledge of Test scenarios/Test cases writing, Defect logging and tracking - Review and analyse system specifications. - Experience with Docker and search engine systems like SOLR/Elastic Search will have additional advantages. - Collaborate with developers to develop effective strategies and test plans - Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results - Evaluate product code and workflow according to specifications - Create logs to document testing phases and defects - Report bugs and errors to development teams. - Help troubleshoot issues. - Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing - Passionate about QA, wants to stay hands-on and enjoy testing. - Familiarity with agile development processes. - Self-sufficient and comfortable with ambiguity. - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle - Certifications like ISTQB, CSTE will be a plus. - Good communication skills and a great Team player. Roles and Responsibilities : Test Case Translation : - Interpret product requirements to design, develop, and document detailed (step-by-step) validation test cases that cover functional, performance, and reliability aspects of the product. Test Automation : - Develop automated test scripts and frameworks leveraging industry-standard tools to streamline the execution of validation test cases and enhance overall testing efficiency. Collaborative quality improvement : - Work closely with product managers and software engineers to improve both product and software requirements to make them unambiguous and testable Test Strategy Development : - Contribute to the formulation of comprehensive test strategies and plans by providing insights and recommendations on test case development, structuring and automation feasibility. Test Execution and Analysis : - Execute test cases, analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution. Continuous Improvement : - Continuously evaluate and enhance existing test cases, methodologies, and automation frameworks to optimize the quality assurance process Documentation and Reporting : - Create detailed documentation of test cases, automation scripts, test results, and provide clear and concise reports on testing activities and outcomes. Key Skills : - At least 5 years of experience with end-to-end testing of user interfaces of frontend web applications - At least 1 year of experience of test case automation frameworks for web applications in Cypress - Experience in a regulated environment that requires proper documentation is a plus - Experience in the healthcare domain is a plus - Good problem solving skills addressing complex problems with simple but effective solutions - Excellent communication skills - Ability to excel in a cross-functional and international team (ref:hirist.tech)
