SAP BTP Developer

Job Title : SAP BTP Developer Experience : 7 Years Location : Remote Contract : 6 Months (extendable) Client : SES Job Description : The SAP BTP Developer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting custom applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP BTP services, cloud-based development, and integration. The role requires working closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical consultants to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP), SAP Fiori, and SAP UI5. - Create and maintain integration scenarios leveraging SAP Integration Suite and other BTP services. - Work with SAP BTP services such as SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Mobile Services, SAP AI, and SAP IoT. - Develop and maintain business logic using Node.js, Java, or Python within the SAP BTP environment. - Collaborate with the business and functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions using SAP BTP. - Implement and maintain API and data integration using OData, REST, and other integration frameworks. - Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of applications developed on SAP BTP. - Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of SAP BTP applications and integration flows. - Participate in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. - Develop and deploy cloud-based extensions and manage BTP workflows. - Prepare technical documentation, deployment scripts, and guidelines to support ongoing operations. Required Skills : - 7 years of experience in SAP development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP BTP. - Proficiency in SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model, Node.js, Java, or Python for SAP BTP application development. - Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, and creating user-friendly applications on SAP BTP. - Strong experience in developing and consuming OData services and REST APIs. - Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite for data and system integration. - Familiarity with SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Mobile Services, SAP AI, and other BTP services. - Experience with DevOps tools and processes for SAP BTP deployment (e.g., Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines). - Strong knowledge of cloud-native development and microservices architecture. - Understanding of security practices in cloud environments, including authentication, authorization, and identity management in SAP BTP. - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Good-to-Have Skills : - Experience with SAP IoT, SAP AI, and other emerging SAP BTP services. - Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud orchestration for SAP environments. - Exposure to SAP Extension Suite, SAP AI Core and AI Foundation. - Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar BI tools. - SAP BTP certifications will be a plus. Soft Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities and deadlines.
