Data Engineer - ETL/Informatica

Purpose of the Position : - Design and develop comprehensive solutions using Informatica Cloud Application and Data Integration. - Provide support to a team of Data and Support Engineers. - Contribute to the modernization and support of the data platform for a customer's Data and Analytics landscape. Location : India (Mumbai/Pune Preferred). Travel : As required. Employment Type : Full-time. Notice Period : 30 Days. Key Result Areas and Activities : Develop and Implement Data Integration Workflows : - Utilize Informatica Cloud tools and connectors to create data integration workflows. - Configure data mappings, transformations, and validations to ensure accurate and timely data integration across various systems and platforms. - Seamless Integration with Cloud-Based Applications: Implement seamless integration between Informatica Cloud and other cloud-based applications and services (e.g, Salesforce, Azure). - Leverage APIs, web services, and integration platforms to achieve smooth data flow and interoperability. Support and Collaboration : - Collaborate with Informatica Data Engineers and support engineers to design and develop solutions that meet requirements. - Provide support before, during, and after deployment, addressing any issues that arise. Performance Optimization : - Assist with Level 2 and Level 3 application production issues, resolving challenging problems. - Identify and implement tuning opportunities to improve overall system performance. Service Excellence and SLA Commitments : - Ensure service excellence by meeting service level agreement (SLA) commitments related to data integration. Work and Technical Experience : Must-Have : - Minimum of 5 years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in Informatica, 3 years in Informatica Cloud IICS (Data Integration), and 2 years in IICS (Application Integration) along with Cloudera. - Strong expertise in Informatica Cloud, including PowerCenter, Cloud Data Integration, Cloud Application Integration, and other relevant Informatica products. - In-depth knowledge of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes. Proven knowledge of real-time data integration, application integration, and process automation using Informatica Cloud Application Integration. Good-to-have : - Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and database technologies. - Experience with Snowflake DB and scheduling tools like TIDAL. - Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages, and API integrations. - Certification in Informatica Cloud Data Integration/Application Integration Specialist. - Basic understanding of Power BI tool. Qualifications : - Bachelor's in Engineering from a reputed Institute and prior experience on Projects in the Data and Analytics Industry. Qualities : - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Ability to set, track, achieve, and report on short/long-term tasks. - Self-motivated, highly disciplined, and organized. - Good people skills (will interface with people at varied skill and seniority levels).
