Student Worker (1 year contract) - Corporate Ratings team (S&P Global Ratings)
The Role: Student Worker – Corporate Ratings
The Location: Sao Paulo. Please apply with English CV.
The Team: Analytical team works on a regional basis providing ratings mainly to corporate entities in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and other countries in South America.
The Impact: This role will provide direct support to the senior analyst in the team and will also assist the team in a global environment company.
Responsibilities:
- Input issuer financial statements into standard model.
- Perform extensive macroeconomic research, market data, industry-sector, and company-specific information.
- News clipping and issuer’s relevant facts and notices to the market research.
- Read quarterly results releases and financial statements and alert analyst on relevant issues.
- Keep Ratings Document Repository (RDR) updated with the latest financial information provided by the companies.
- Input issuer forecasts into projections models.
- Assist analysts in rating committee presentations, research for articles and commentaries.
- Attend rating committee as a listener.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, IT or related field.
- Requires advanced proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and writing).
- Sao Paulo students available to have an “estágio” for 1.5-2 years and able to work 30 hours per week.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is required.
- Microsoft Office (advanced skills).
- Spanish and Portuguese knowledge desirable.
- Detail-oriented person.
- Team player with the ability to work without constant supervision.
- Previous work experience will be considered a plus.
- Programming knowledge desirable.
