Job Description

Assistant Manager (Network Ops & Support)- RAN Integration and project support

Onsite Location: Dusseldorf, Germany

Work Mode : Hybrid

Role purpose: Providing technical support for Mobile RAN on 2G/3G/4G/5G integrations, troubleshooting, various upgrades of existing sites (capacity upgrades; U9, L18, L21, L26 addition &Tech Adds) BBU recommissioning and Support for Field Revisit under the INCresolution and surveys, primary support from offshore and on need basis travel to onsite to accomplish the specific requirements. Travel onshore for Project Transition & Training.

Key Responsibilities:

2G/4G/5G Wireless technology Integration service support

Verifying alarms, verifying site state, understanding it s content.

Configuration management activities on radio products, band integration, LLD modification, Site pre integration, integration, RET/TMA Config, neighboring definition.

Ericsson Network Manager (ENM) backup, restoration, and software upgrades

Trouble shoot, configure, and decommission of Ericsson basebands BB6488, BB6630 and BB5216 and RBS 6K series.

Perform node integration and modernization for 5G and 4G technology respectively.

Perform activities RET, TMA, and different types of antennas.

Collect configuration data according to agreed templates and process.

VLAN Configuration, DHCP, IP, Traceroute etc.

Use agreed tools to create DT/Scripts/files using PCI and ECT.

Follow up on all INC tickets opened and supporting partners in the resolution

Providing support to RAN Engineers on any kind of script related issues, fixing configuration faults, Troubleshooting of Tx issues, and providing support on escalations to relevant teams

Verify DT/Scripts/Files according to applicable procedure.

Take the necessary preventive and corrective measures to ensure agreed service availability after planned works. Perform second level troubleshooting processes, ensuring high quality and short service restoring time for RAN elements

Furnish the reports and data on periodic basis and up on requests as well.

Understand and manage all project specific requirements and complete within agreed timelines.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

OSS-RC, MOshell, AMOS, FTP, WinFoil, Element Manager, Secure CRT, ELIS(Ericsson License Register), ECT and PCI. Product Configuration &Integration, Ericsson Site Integrator (ESI), ENM, Erisite.

In-depth Knowledge in Ericsson products& its configuration for BB6648,6630, RP_6337, ERS, BSC EVOC8200, 8100, ENM.

Performing remote configuration expansions as well as new site integrations on 2G, 3G, 4G &5G Ericsson sites

Hands on experience in Ericsson BSC/BTS Integration, SW upgrade, Patch upgrade and its configuration.

Support to Field Force for External Alarms and Acceptance Test, RETs setup, call tests, and calibration.

Ericsson 2G,4G,5G scripting, integration, and configuration.

Defining external alarms for newly integrated site, alarm checks and troubleshooting

In-depth Knowledge in 5G SA and NSA.

Hands on experience in License loading, Software upgrade in ENM

PM, PKI profile creation in ENM

2G rehoming, TRX addition, Integration and Troubleshooting

In-depth Knowledge on BSC AP & CP configuration and Troubleshooting

Incidents Troubleshooting -Cell down, VSWR alarm, Calls not maturing, Data not working, Throughput issue.

Execute the implementation of the product configuration / integration work.

Onsite responsibility on specific requirements:

Test support with respect to the Project requirement

Implement project- or user-specific test configurations

Rebuild nodes from scratch (e.g.,re-installation of radio nodes)

Various incidents & Project related Troubleshooting collaboratively with Vendors, Partners & support teams.

Project Transition & Training at onsite

Service staff occasionally required to be on site at Germany (e.g., to investigate hardware-related issues, execute hardware changes etc.)

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

10+ years of experience of operating telecom Incident management, problem management and Change Management for 2G/3G/4G/5G Wireless Networks

Graduation in Telecommunications/Electronics or equivalent

Proficient in MS Office Suite

English language(spoken and written)

Ericsson RAN Equipment specific certification (ETCP)

Drive technical projects and programs individually without any supervision.
