Primal Cut Chargehand

Within our Primal Cut Department we are looking for a Chargehand to join our team in Westerleigh.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 07:00 – 16:45

Key Responsibilities:

• Motivating your team to produce quality products.
• Maintaining high level of production standards.
• Meet production efficiency targets.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and correct.
• Report and resolve machine issues quickly, advising the Engineering Department of work requirements.
• Ensure areas are kept tidy and clean at all times and maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Assist with any audits that are carried out in the department – e.g. customer visits.
• Carry out routine inspection of your area and any equipment in your charge and report any maintenance requirements, deficiencies or recommendations for improvements.
• Record all information relating to bonus and overtime payments in such a way as to ensure accuracy and fairness in those payments.

You Will Need to:

• Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Have an understanding of run rates, yields and good manufacturing practices.
• Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Have knowledge and experience of working with food production machinery.
• Have Health & Safety awareness.
• Have COSHH awareness.

Candidates will need a ‘can do' approach and must be able to handle working in a fast paced environment.
