Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our small accounts team. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Company Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's financial records up to the Trial Balance stage. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm Friday: 8am - 2pm (or as required) Work is based in BT23 5RE between Gilnahirk and Comber Key Responsibilities: Daily management of banking operations, including online banking, posting, and reconciling transactions Managing the ledger at month-end to ensure accurate financial reporting Preparation and submission of VAT returns, supporting the Making Tax Digital process Month-end reconciliations and financial reporting Maintaining and updating the company's price list and website as required Generating and processing invoices accurately and in a timely manner General office administration, including providing cover for the Sales Administrator during periods of leave Requirements: Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting processes, particularly up to Trial Balance Excellent administrative and organizational skills with a proactive and responsible approach Advanced IT skills, particularly with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with staff and suppliers at all levels Experience with Sage 200 (or similar accounting software) is essential This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated finance professional to contribute to a well-established business in a key administrative role.
