Job Description

Multinational Bank seeking a (front office) Corporate Credit Analyst to join their Core Lending Business in London, looking after Food/ Agri/ Energy wholesale clients in the UK.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess credit risk, structure credit products, financial modelling and assessments via internal models for existing clients and prospects/new transactions (inc. commercial returns modelling and business plans.
  • Manage ongoing credit needs of existing relationships, including timely annual reviews.
  • Respond to Senior Risk Office or credit approvers’ questions related to credit applications.
  • Research and evaluate specific targets.
  • Monthly/quarterly assessment of received information & covenant checks and if working upon Leveraged Lending clients, input into the Leveraged Lending monitoring system
  • Monitoring assigned portfolio of clients; in depth client knowledge is essential for adequately identifying early warning signals with the aim of minimising loan losses.


Skills/ Experience Required

  • MUST HAVE 1-3 years Corporate Credit Analysis experience from a bank, with some focus on large corporate Food/Agri/Energy names in the UK. Front office interaction/ understanding important.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, including an understanding of financial accounts and ability to model projections
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, including understanding of key structural protections
  • Previous experience and proven track record in managing a portfolio of credit files
