The role:

This role is for a Test Engineer in a Manufacturing team, focusing on testing and diagnosing electrical/electronic subsystems and circuit cards throughout the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include supporting test engineering during the design and development phases, ensuring effective test facility setup with configuration control, and diagnosing production test failures down to component level. The position involves close collaboration with operations and design teams, with a strong emphasis on meeting program targets and continuous improvement. The role is part of a small, diverse team within a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to multiple missile systems in development and production.

What we want from you:

• HNC-level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field, with HND/Degree preferred, plus experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacturing and testing.
• Strong understanding of electrical/electronic measurement principles, test equipment, and fault diagnosis techniques for electronic/electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated test equipment, ideally within a defence or similar manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution system (MES) programs, such as SAP and MES, for logging test activities and generating non-conformance reports and concessions.
