Security Operative

Vital are looking for a Security Operative to join our team! Location - Harlow, Essex

The role

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the rail infrastructure. Patrolling rail access points/ platforms and station areas to deter vandalism and trespass. Shifts will be 6am - 6pm

• Respond to alarms and emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.


• Enforce access control procedures, verifying the identity of individuals entering or exiting the area.


• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns.


• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related incidents or violations.

Building relationships and working closely with stakeholder partners, Network Rail, British Transport Police and Samaritans.

Experience:

• SIA licence is essential.


• PTS (Personal track safety) desirable but not essential.


• Full driving licence essential.


• Familiarity with security and basic first aid procedures are a plus.


• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.


• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
