Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Barnsley

Shift:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm
- Week 2: Thursday to Sunday, 6am-4pm
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of various industrial systems. Your sound plant engineering knowledge will be crucial in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair industrial systems, including:
- Hydraulic systems
- Pumps, drives, and gearboxes
- Heavy machinery
- Water cooling systems
- Material handling systems
- Dust extraction systems
- Robotics and PLCs
- Vacuum systems
- AC & DC circuits
- Lead and motivate a small team, ensuring effective collaboration and task completion.
- Methodically fault-find and resolve issues to root cause, providing front-line rectification.
- Work under permit systems, ensuring compliance and safety standards are met.
- Prioritise tasks effectively, maintaining a customer-focused attitude.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in plant engineering and industrial systems.
- Proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional groups.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to fault-finding.
- Familiarity with permit systems and their operation.
- Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of resource prioritisation.
