Role Overview
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and completion of mechanical systems for commercial new-build and refurbishment projects. You’ll work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee mechanical systems installation, ensuring projects meet design specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance, conduct design reviews, and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project phases.
• Collaboration: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients, and coordinate with subcontractors to achieve seamless project execution.
• Documentation: Prepare and manage essential documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
• Health & Safety: Ensure health and safety standards are implemented and maintained across all project stages.
• Resource Management: Manage materials procurement, site resources, and address any project-specific challenges promptly and effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
• Educational Background: Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within the commercial building services sector in London.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Certifications: Relevant health and safety certifications, such as SMSTS, are advantageous.
• Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to handle multiple priorities.
