Your New Role
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading projects and guiding junior engineers. You will be responsible for:
- Acting as Project Leader on selected projects.
- Attending principal meetings and making client presentations.
- Promoting technical excellence within the team.
- Developing client relationships and generating repeat business.
- Working on a variety of technically challenging projects from inception to completion.
- Producing drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Collaborating closely with team members to achieve common goals.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5–6 years of post-qualification design experience in building services.
- Proficiency in software design tools such as Microsoft Suite, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, and Revit.
- Knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations, and HTM’s.
- Professional Membership (CIBSE, IET) is desirable.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV systems and integration of renewable technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
