Finance Business Partner – Oxford (Hybrid) - £50,000 - £60,000 + benefits

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a market leading research organisation to assist with their recruitment of a Finance Business Partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for the budgeting, accounting and effective control of all overheads, operating costs and grant expenditure.

This is a newly created role in the business due to a period of sustained growth and we're looking for a someone who is self-motivated, can work on their own and as part of team, holds excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Managing the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning process
• Engage with funders to identify funding opportunities and establish working relationships
• Timely and accurate month end close and reporting for overheads
• Accurate reporting and review of all overheads and grant expenditure with budget holders to ensure effective control of spend.
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Work with academics to support financial management, ensuring appropriate use of funds
• Business partnering support for the key projects with the relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with minimum 5 years PQE
• Business partnering experience
• Strong financial and management accounting background

The successful candidate should be ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified. They will ideally come from a Research institute, educational or charity background. Holding high attention to detail, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills.
