Job Details

SUMMARY:
The Service Technician serves as the primary liaison for customers, overseeing customer-facing and internal support, encompassing commissioning, installation, start-up, warranty, and paid service. This pivotal role is instrumental in nurturing enduring customer relations, bridging the gap between customers, products, and internal teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide technical support and solutions for electrical issues encountered pre, during, and post-manufacture.
Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes based on engineering specifications.
Install and maintain electrical control systems.
Adapt electrical prototypes, components, assemblies, and systems to rectify functional deviations.
Configure and operate test equipment to assess developmental parts, assemblies, or systems, recording results under simulated operating conditions.
Execute various highly technical tasks, including commissioning, start-up, and repair/refurbishment of intricate electronic and mechanical equipment within customer facilities.
Instruct and train customer personnel in equipment operation.
Collaborate with electrical engineers and team members to identify, interpret, analyze, and resolve problems.
Maintain precise troubleshooting records in the service database and generate comprehensive and accurate technical reports promptly.
Alter and upkeep PLC and HMI programs.
Conduct remote troubleshooting using diagnostic methods and pertinent inquiries.
While not traveling, conduct machine wiring, panel assembly, programming, and testing duties in the workshop.
Perform additional assigned duties.
Preferred Qualifications, Education, Skills:

Willingness to travel 20-60% as required.
Proficiency in computer and electronics, encompassing processors, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Mechanical expertise involving machines, tools, their design, utilization, repair, and maintenance.
Aptitude in mathematics, covering basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their practical applications.
Insight into production and processing techniques, including raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and methods for optimizing equipment manufacture.
Ability to utilize basic hand tools.
Exemplary professionalism, adept at handling pressure, displaying respect, and fulfilling commitments.
Mastery of the English language's structure, content, spelling, composition rules, and grammar.
Proficiency in programming software, specifically Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, and Servo programming.
Ability to comprehend and interpret electronic schematics and drawings accurately.
Diligence in ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Customer-centric approach, self-motivated.
Adaptability to fast-paced, dynamic environments with varied temperature conditions.
Proactive engagement and follow-up with customers.
