Job Description
Job Summary:
Implements and supports the application and data integration managed by Information Services (IS). Provides application and technical support for the product line in addition to triage and troubleshooting for product clients. Monitors systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity while escalating issues and problems as needed. Provides system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration, as well as testing and training of the product. Ensures that applications are optimally planned, documented, validated, and maintained in adherence to organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation:
• Partner with business and clinical operations to obtain and create workflow documentation for current application use during implementation and upgrades.
• Provide advanced analysis of systems compatibility and configure according to operational and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with IS teams, project teams, affiliates, and vendor representatives to develop system specifications.
• Integrate design and test scripts into the project plan, ensuring comprehensive integrated testing.
• Assist with the technical aspects of product implementation, rollout, and support as required.
Application Configuration & Support:
• Obtain and document software design change and enhancement specifications.
• Participate in the installation and configuration of applications.
• Analyze new requirements and enhancements to existing applications, preparing necessary specifications and documentation.
• Provide advanced data analysis, develop basic specifications and documentation, and resolve advanced problems while validating current application functionalities.
Interface Validation:
• Verify developed solutions through testing to ensure compliance with departmental standards.
• Develop test scripts to ensure thorough validation and perform tests to confirm solution functionality.
Application Maintenance:
• Implement changes to production applications and make configuration updates.
• Partner with clients to identify and resolve advanced problems and follow through to ensure resolution.
• Monitor and manage system logs, error reports, alert audit logs, and security access logs as assigned.
• Write and update test scripts and conduct testing using established procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of the application's design and usage as the product functionality evolves.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of data and application development lifecycle methodologies.
• Proficient knowledge of healthcare operations and structure.
• Proficient understanding of Health Level 7 (HL7) and Extensible Markup Language (XML) messaging standards and structure.
• Intermediate understanding of downstream applications and core systems integration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
