Associate Director, Global Drug Development (GDD) IT Architecture will own the full architecture across everything done in GDD from Hyderabad. The incumbent will work closely with IT product teams including business stakeholders in Hyderabad and globally to analyze business and technology requirements and define, prototype, and scale solutions that deliver value to our patients. As the Lead Architect for the GDD IT team in India, the incumbent will work closely with the global GDD Architecture Council and other IT technology organizations to ensure alignment with GDD IT and BMS architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guidelines. The successful candidate will need to maintain a broad and deep understanding of the GDD IT architecture and external technology landscape and will act as a champion for innovation with an eye toward delivering value against the most important priorities for the GDD organization. This position will require the incumbent to model and promote effective teamwork, collaboration, and communication across the entire global IT product teams. To be successful, the incumbent will need to instill a learning culture whereby the team gains a strong understanding of the GDD business and supporting technologies and external technology landscape and acts as a mentor to the teams for architecture and technology. If you want an exciting and rewarding career that is meaningful, consider joining our diverse team Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, identify pain points, and define solution architectures to address while ensuring robustness, simplicity and interoperability across the enterprise. Develop and communicate full architecture descriptions, including purpose, risks, and tradeoffs Develop and maintain technology roadmaps to guide the organization in making strategic technology decisions. Define technology standards, principles, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the organization. Conduct technology assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing systems and processes. Create and maintain architecture models, including application, data, infrastructure, and security architecture. Evaluate and select technology solutions to support business needs and align with GDD IT and BMS architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guidelines. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other external partners to influence their roadmaps to meet BMS needs Act as an architecture and technology mentor to the product teams in Hyderabad and globally Qualifications & Experience 12-15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on large-scale systems and distributed architectures. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF. Experience with cloud computing technologies and architectures, modern architectures, such as microservices and event driven architecture, and modern software development methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions.
