Backend Lead - Java Programming

Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Lead with extensive experience in Java development and microservices architecture to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Lead, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing backend systems, while also mentoring and guiding your team to deliver top-notch solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Java Development : Lead backend development with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE development. - Design Expertise : At least 5 years of experience in designing systems with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Web Services (SOAP/REST). - Familiarity with Java 8 or 11, and experience with Spring WebFlux and Reactive programming is a plus. - Microservices Architecture : Hands-on experience building microservices using REST and SOAP/XML for 5 years. - Database Technologies : Extensive experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, along with expertise in DML, DDL, and Query Optimization. - Systems Integration : Proven experience (5 years) in systems integration, especially in event-based messaging and high-volume real-time data streaming using tools such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. - Team Leadership : Take ownership of the team's deliverables, mentor junior developers, review code, and guide the team through technical challenges. - Deployment Process : Hands-on knowledge of the entire deployment process, from development through to production. - Software Development Lifecycle : In-depth experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile and Iterative methodologies. - Capacity Planning and Optimization : Expertise in capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization in a distributed client/server environment. - Analytical Skills : Strong analysis, design, and programming capabilities, with a problem-solving mindset. Desired Candidate Profile : - Experience : 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE development. - Skills : Strong in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, RabbitMQ, NoSQL databases, and systems integration. - Team Leadership : Proven track record of leading teams and taking ownership of deliverables. - Preferred : Candidates with experience in Spring WebFlux and Reactive programming. - Location : Willing to work in Hyderabad or Bhubaneswar (ref:hirist.tech)
