Software Engineering Manager - Java

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to be a Software Engineer/Manager who will work with a U.S based development team to build full stack enterprise applications and perform intricate software integrations to various third-party platforms. A very strong software development and testing background is a must. The candidate will be expected to work in an Agile team environment while designing, developing, and testing innovative, high quality technical solutions to solve complex business problems. The candidate will manage other India-based Software and QA team members and ensure that they are strong. contributors and following standards set by the U.S based development team. Designation : Software Engineering Manager. CTC : 24LPA to 36LPA. Location : Kochi. What you'll do : - Work with a U.S based development team that follows an Agile process and defined engineering best practices to execute projects on a Technology Roadmap. - Participate in discussions to define requirements which will improve current software products. - A wide degree of creativity is welcomed and expected. - Use the Java language to develop major product features and enterprise integrations of high complexity. - You'll be expected to develop full stack applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and other open-source tools. - Work with other Engineers to troubleshoot production application issues and find quick resolution to those problems. - Manage India-based engineers that report to you; including overseeing their work and ensuring their software meets the quality goals of the team. - Provide guidance and mentoring to those engineers to help them improve and achieve their career goals. You'll do well in this position because you : - Show a passion for technology and Computer Science. - Know the Java language well and possess - Strong Object-Oriented Language skills. - Can work effectively across any software language or framework. - Can quickly pick up new technologies and make appropriate decisions on how to apply them. - Are able to apply solid architectural principles and design patterns to develop generalized, scalable, and performant software engineering solutions. - Collaborate well with other engineers on your development team and with other Technical Staff both in India and in the U. - Have a Servant Leadership mindset and love to help people succeed and grow in their career. You need to have : . - At least a B.E in Computer Science or related field. - 8 years' experience as a Software Engineer. - Strong Object-Oriented programming (preferably Java) skills and intimate knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. - Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle. It would be nice if you had : - Experience using Agile methodologies, including Test Driven Development. - Experience with Java open-source frameworks. - Experience with Unix-based operating systems (Linux, CentOS, etc.) - Working knowledge of code repositories and build systems (e.g, Git, Subversion, Maven, and Jenkins). - Management or Team Lead Experience.
