Job Description : We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tech Lead Automation QA to join our dynamic R&D engineering team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications and backend services through meticulous testing, automation, and process improvements. You will work closely with product managers and developers to deliver high-quality releases, contributing to the product design and ensuring robust testability. Requirement Analysis : - Understand detailed requirements for functional and usability testing of web applications and backend services. - Participate in grooming sessions, sprint planning, and assess testing efforts by reviewing user stories in detail. Test Planning & Execution : - Write detailed test cases to ensure comprehensive testing for features, including exploratory testing for undefined scenarios. - Perform hands-on test execution and automate test cases for functional regression testing. Automation & Innovation : - Design and implement automation frameworks for QA, including behavior-driven development (BDD) using Java/Scala in Windows/Linux environments. - Use tools like Selenium and Robot Framework for automation, ensuring high-quality testing. - Apply innovative testing concepts to enhance test coverage, product quality, and reliability. Collaboration & Process Improvement : - Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure seamless and timely delivery of high-quality releases. - Define and improve QA processes and best practices to elevate the overall quality of the product. - Contribute to product design to ensure testability and robustness of products and features. Problem Solving & Agile Collaboration : - Troubleshoot and resolve application and environment issues, applying strong problem-solving skills. - Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile methodologies and tools. Experience : - 4-6 years of experience in manual and automation testing. - Experience with Java, JavaScript, and Python for automation, particularly with Selenium and Robot Framework. - Experience designing and developing behavior-driven frameworks for QA automation. - Experience with API automation using tools like SOAP UI and Postman. - Strong scripting experience with relational databases like Postgres, Oracle, and MSSQL. Technical Skills : - Knowledge of SDLC phases and Testing Life Cycle. - Proficiency in creating and executing detailed Test Suites/Test Cases. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, and Docker is an added advantage. - Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus. - Experience with Rules Engines and Workflow Engines is an added advantage. Soft Skills : - Self-motivated, fast learner with a strong sense of ownership and drive. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; friendly and effective team player. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
