Lead Database Administrator - PostgreSQL

Job Description : Key Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases. - Perform database backups, recovery, and failover procedures. - Monitor database performance and optimize query performance. - Tune database parameters to achieve optimal performance. - Implement robust security measures to protect database data. - Manage user access and privileges. - Stay up-to-date with security best practices and vulnerabilities. - Lead a team of DBAs, providing technical guidance and mentorship. - Assign tasks, review work, and provide feedback. - Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture. - Analyze database usage patterns and plan for future capacity needs. - Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks. - Respond to database incidents and outages in a timely manner. - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues. - Implement measures to prevent future incidents. - Plan and execute database migrations to new versions or hardware. - Minimize downtime and data loss during migration processes. - Automate routine database tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors. - Develop scripts and tools to automate database administration.
