Security Analyst - Vulnerability Management

Job Description : Key Responsibilities : - Monitor, identify, and respond to security incidents, ensuring the protection of the organization's network and data from cyber threats. - Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to evaluate security weaknesses and recommend improvements. - Analyze and assess potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect critical systems and data. - Maintain and optimize security tools, systems, and software, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and antivirus programs. - Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for employees to enhance awareness and adherence to security standards. - Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, including findings, actions taken, and recommendations for management. - Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and compliance requirements to ensure the organization's security remains robust. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of IT and business processes. Qualifications & Skills : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS controls. - Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection. - Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Certifications : - Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security are highly preferred. Preferred Traits : - Strong sense of accountability and proactive approach to mitigating security risks. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. - Analytical mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cybersecurity.
