Mobile Engineering Manager - iOS & Android Platform

Job Designation : Mobile Engineering Manager Domain : IT Applications : Mobile Platform 5 Days working : Job Description : Responsibilities : - Lead engineering teams composed of backend, frontend, iOS, Android developers and QA. - Contribute to the technical strategy and collaborate with key stakeholders to influence the product outcome both for long and short-term goals. - Set goals and priorities for your engineering team. - Provide coaching and mentoring to individual team members to help them achieve their goals. - Manage day-to-day operations, such as code reviews, testing, and bug triage. - Collaborate with other departments, such as product management and delivery, to ensure that development work is aligned with business goals needs. - Build and maintain a strong engineering culture, including fostering innovation, promoting technical excellence, and encouraging continuous learning and improvement. - Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members. - Create a culture of freedom and responsibility that shines through quality and on-time delivery. - Drive excellence across engineering teams by supporting modern software engineering practices. - You will be responsible to architect solutions using innovative technology ideas and industry-leading methodologies. - Lead from the front and architect the Android application to be modular and use best practices to enable rapid iteration. - You are required to keep abreast with emerging front-end and interactive technologies, promote their usage as project needs dictate and drive adoption across the company. - Work closely with Product Management, Vendors and other engineering leaders in a cross-functional capacity. - You will provide feedback to both designers and developers on technical feasibility, speed and optimization, and possible alternatives to difficult interactions or animations. - You will be responsible to mentor geographically distributed teams. - Provide thought leadership to the team around new technologies, processes and approaches. - Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills. - Must have experience as an Android development lead with at least 3 years as a leader. - Must have experience on TODO. - Experience implementing solutions with APIs, RESTful web services JSON. - Good Exposure to OO, Design Patterns and Data Structures. - Must have a proven track record of delivery and leadership. You will have : - An expertise in mobile apps and technology with experience building great native or hybrid mobile apps for iOS and Android. - Overall experience of 5 to 18 years, with 3 years leading and mentoring technical teams that support and partner with international technology and product teams. - Experience in a management role, with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing engineering teams. - Strong knowledge of Android, Kotlin, iOS, Swift, Objective C and working with MVVM, MVP, MVC patterns. - 5 years of hands-on experience in building apps that have been released to the Play Store (Android) and Appstore (iOS).
