About the job : About the Role : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mid-Level QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing capabilities, advanced SQL skills, and knowledge of automation frameworks like Cypress or Selenium. Experience with API testing and debugging, along with a strong time-management skillset, is essential. Experience in the payments domain is a plus. Key Responsibilities : - Perform comprehensive manual testing to ensure the quality of the product. - Write and execute SQL queries to validate and test data integrity across systems. - Utilize automation tools such as Cypress or Selenium with Java/JavaScript to enhance the testing process. - Conduct thorough API testing and provide clear, actionable feedback on identified issues. - Identify, document, and report defects, working closely with the development team to ensure quick resolution. - Debug complex issues and work efficiently to provide root cause analysis. - Manage testing timelines effectively, ensuring deliverables are met under pressure and within deadlines. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product delivery. Qualifications : - Strong experience in manual testing with a clear understanding of QA methodologies. - Proficient in SQL and able to write complex queries for data validation. - Hands-on experience with automation tools like Cypress or Selenium, and a good command of Java or JavaScript. - Strong knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured. - Excellent debugging skills and attention to detail. - Good to have experience in the payments domain and understanding of payment gateways or financial transactions. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines (ref:hirist.tech)
