Job Description
For the Central Team of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) , we are looking for an Actuarial and Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management team. You will develop tools and methodologies to improve the risk management framework of the Global Corporate and Commercial business, in particular develop and automate the reporting on the Solvency Capital and define KPIs to link the risk management framework and the company's business strategy. In this role, you will be exposed to counterparties from the GC&C Business Unit, in particular with the Portfolio Management and Finance departments, also be in close contact with Group Risk Management and Risk Management and Actuarial counterparties in different countries. Main Responsibilities: Risk and Business Strategy: Assist the Head of Risk for Global Corporate and Commercial (GC&C) to: Define and implement methodologies of capital allocations to derive risk-based indicators needed by the Management of corporate business to manage the portfolio. Define the best reporting tool (either integrating the methodologies in existing tools or developing new ones) and train the underwriters and portfolio managers to use it. Analyze the profitability of the corporate business, and the contribution of the different portfolios to the overall capital covering the corporate business, both in year-end and plan view. Build a risk map and tools to monitor it on a regular basis (at least yearly) in line with the strategy of the company and the Generali Group. Solvency II calculation process: Review the calculation of the capital by the different contributing countries. Support Group Risk Management in performing the reconciliation of the Corporate business capital inputs. Run and improve the consolidated capital calculation. Review and report figures to GC&C's top management. Other: Build the KPI and reporting tools to provide actuarial opinion on the underwriting and reinsurance processes. Support Group P&C Risk Management in its activities related to the monitoring of corporate products. Support Group P&C Risk Management in its activities related to the modelling of emerging risks. Requirements: Studied Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics or other quantitative disciplines, e.g. Engineering, Physics etc. Quantitative, analytical mindset, problem solving skills. Insurance business processes knowledge. Experience is welcome. Ability to build lasting relationships. Assertiveness. Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage (Italian is a plus).
